Attending To Cries From The Street

began to ruminate on the trauma seated in the heart of the boys who got home after long school day, with a smile make over radiating their faces and inexplicable excitement tingling their heart, all to be welcome with a bowl full of dark cloud containing the fragrance of their mother’s departure into the world unknown.

The veil pulled and in split seconds scenes of how life without mum will be ran through their heads in sparkles and light’s speed. Hot tears rolled down the cheeks of the eldest, the younger stared in shock and confusion, he twinkled as he stared and tears welled up his face too. The explanation of it all was unspeakable.
It was exactly 12:00am when I jerked out of sleep. I got disconnected from the dream world almost immediately, and strongly, I got connected to the orb of reasoning. It was a cry so piercing, my heart couldn’t resist it, troubled I was and helplessness became my dwelling, a burden landed, and my soul immediately journeyed. I saw boys rescued from the pool of blood and dumped in the pool of tears, just nothing could stop the wail. Save us, they pleaded. Who will? I questioned.

The echoes of my question came back vibrating my ear drums, it increased the burden’s weight and  intensity. So uncomfortable I became, but then only was I made to see what the boys saw. Scenes of world’s dark possibilities ran through my mind’s track, the vibration that troubled my ear drums touched my heart and it began twitching. I felt the agony of heads on street stones deep in sleep, accustomed with life’s painful offers.
Their foods no longer come in plates of beautiful steel and in threes. I started by surrendering a meal out of three squares. How long shall these things be? I began worrying, let’s get them out of there and bring them in here. Their rehabilitation can then be said to have properly commenced. Let’s go attend to those cries.
