We’ll Raise Our Stake In LAUTECH To Make Us Equal Partner — Osun Govt

The deputy governor of Osun State, Mr Benedict Alabi, on Tuesday, said the government of osun state will show keen interest in the continued growth of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).

Alabi made the statement when he paid an unscheduled visit to the University’s College of Health Sciences, Osogbo. 
Mouthpiece NG recalls that the school was shut down several times over poor funding which made both staff and students become regular customers on the street during the impasse. 
The deputy governor said the government and people of the state look forward to a raised stake that would make it a real equal partner in the arrangement that established the institution.
While calling for efforts towards self- sustenance, he explained that the economic situation in the country is making it extremely difficult for governments at all levels to continue to provide all that everybody needs.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Olufisayo Ologunde in his welcome address told the government functionaries that LAUTECH was up and doing, churning out world-class graduates that are useful in meeting societal needs.
Ologunde appealed for improved funding, While assuring the government of Management’s commitment to the realization of the vision of the founding fathers.
