PHOTONEWS: LAUTECH Alumni Offers Scholarship Facilities To Over 20 Indigent Students

The Alumni association of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has offered scholarship facilities to over 20 indigent students of the institution. 

The scholarship which gulped about 2.5 million naira was raised by various members of the association whom have distinguished themselves in their chosen professions.  

Mouthpiece NG reliably gathered that the name of the indigent students were shortlisted on Monday. 
The philanthropic gesture recorded another milestone achievement by Hon. Solomon Onilede led administration. 
Hon. Onilede whom was described as God sent by the beneficiaries, promised to institutionalise the scheme so that it can be a yearly activity. 
Speaking at the event, the president said “when we were in school, we knew some of our colleagues who couldn’t afford the tuition then and as a result of that dropped out from the school.  

“Such experience was pathetic but now we dont want such to continue which is the reason for our intervention. “
 The Vice Chancellor in his remark lauded the Alumni association for coming to rescue the students.  
He described the gesture as apt and timely, while also urging other Alumni members to emulate such gesture.
