Ex-student of LAUTECH Donates Trainers, Other Items To Most Committed Athletes In His Alma Matar
Jaiyesimi Adegoke, a graduate of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences has donated trainers to the most committed athletes in his Alma Matar, Mouthpiece NG reports.
Adegoke who finished from the department of Agronomy in year 2014, was a discuss- short put thrower.
He participated in Nigerian Universities Games at University of Nigeria, NSUKA 2009, University of Benin, 2011, and West Africa Universities Games at FUTA 2010.
He won two Silvers and one Bronze before graduating. He captained LAUTECH team including all Sporting events at Nigerian Universities Games at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) 2014, where LAUTECH recorded the first and Record breaking performances with the highest number of Medals.
Speaking with Mouthpiece NG, the former student said his aspirations are to sponsor Sports in his Alma mata and give young talent a platform to shine.
He used the medium to thank Coach Adepoju (LAUTECH Athletic Coach) for his relentless efforts in getting the best out of him during his undergraduate.
Adegoke further acknowledged Adepoju as the best Coach ever he has ever known.
Appreciating Mr. Adegoke for his donation, the captain of the team, Gilardino, on behalf of others said: “I thank Uncle Goke for his financial support and every other Senior Athletes”
“Uncle Goke has indeed shown us the pace to follow after graduating and I thank you for that as well.
