Corruption: Cries As CGP Allegedly Pocketed Election Allowances, Puts Staff In Pain

Report reaching MouthpieceNG says the Controller General of Prisons, Ahmed Jafar, is threatening people on election allowances which he supposed to have paid before election.

According to report, the CGP in a white and black paper, dated 6th-March 2019, had directed its staff to participate in the governorship and assembly election, adding that the staff would be paid immediately fund is released.
An insider who wish to be anonymous told MouthpieceNG that the CGP postponed the payment till after polls, whilst others have collected their own before election.
“One of the major achievement of buhari adminstration is that he ensured that he paid all the backlogs of arrears for all MDA’s.
“Civil defence enjoyed their arrears, immigration and fire services also enjoyed their arrears but prisons failed to paid us.
Speaking further, “It was almost a week that we have done with elections.
“Customs, Nigerian civil defence and immigration, police and road safety have gotten the money since.
They were paid before they embarked on the assignment.
“Police collected  85k(snr)35k(jnr)
Immigration (20k)
Civil defence(15k for each poll) (30k for two polls)
Roadsafety(20k) 10k for each poll
Customs(170k)for two polls.
Meanwhile effort to reach out to the Controller-General of prisons on his reaction over the allegation is proved abortive.
The prison officials are protesting the non- payment of election allowance.
