Lanlehin To Abolish Levies in public Schools, promises to empower small scale entrepreneur

The Oyo state governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator Olufemi Lanlehin has promised to make soft loans and grants accessible to traders, artisans, farmers as well as small scale entrepreneurs.

Lanlehin in his bid to make Oyo state a better place also promised to also abolish any levy in both primary and secondary schools in the state because it is these set of people that enrol their wards in public schools.
The ADC governorship candidate  disclosed this during a campaign rally in some areas within Ibadan metropolis like fowl market, Molete, Oje, Gate, Adelabu markets and other places.
According to a statement by Director of Public Communication, New Media and Tertiary Institution for Handshake  Campaign Organisation, Engineer Akeem Olatunji, “market men and women, farmers, artisans and other business owners would get access to grants and soft loans to boost their income and enhance economic growth and development of the state”.
Apart from making soft loans and grants available to these sector of economy, the governorship candidate also promised to create employment opportunities for youths as well create enabling environment for small cottage industry to thrive, alerted that people who own small and medium scale enterprises are missing out as a result of their inability to access grants from both federal and state agencies from this APC led administration.
He maintained that the kind of loans and grants that his administration would provide if elected into office will be different  from N10,000 being distributed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo few weeks to the general elections.
This according to him was a systematic and strategic way of vote buying, which will not take the APC to anywhere because electorate have already understand their gimmick.
The governorship hopeful said his experience as a lawmaker at the Senate had availed him the opportunity to make the grants and loans accessible to the people of his Federal constituency which he would be replicated at the state level if voted into office.
Lanlehin said, “the ADC would make life more abundant and meaningful for traders, artisans, farmers and other small and medium scale business owners in the state.
“There will be access to grants and loans for everybody who is interested, regardless of his or her political affiliation. Our people here are not enjoying all these grants because the present administration don’t avail them the opportunity to access them.
“I can tell you with all sense of responsibility that majority of those accessing loans in Oyo state, if there is any, are people that have affiliation with their party and this was wrong because government is for everybody irrespective of tribe, religious or party affiliations.
“I want to also assure you people that I was once in your shoe, I enjoyed free education, I promise to abolish any levy in both primary and secondary schools.
“We would not make life difficult for you imposing various kinds of levies on you in the market, parks and other public places. We promise to make life more meaningful irrespective of your status.
“Once you vote for us and we form the next government in the state, we will be making these grants and loans accessible to you good people of Oyo state”.
Lanlehin, therefore charged voters in state to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) ready for the coming general elections; urging them not to sell it to anybody because that is their power to make wise choice of who govern them and make positive impact on their lives.
