LAUTECH: Our Secondary School Mates Are Happy- Wahab Roqeeb

A poem composed by a frustrated LAUTECH student who has spent more than a year in same level as a result of industrial strike.

This, he tagged as “LAUTECH SHALL RISE” is aimed to pacify his colleagues especially those who have lost hope in education or suicidal tendency wells up in them.
_The road may be blurred now_
_The cloud may be dark now_
_The shining star may stop falling_
But LAUTECH shall rise
_In every situation we found ourselves_
_Whether spiritually or naturally_
_Whether we are blocked to move on_
_Or being deprived of our right_
_we shall rise one day_
_Our academic activities is muddy now_
_Our career is rough now_
_Our dreams are messy now_
_Our future is turgid now_
LAUTECH shall rise
_Our colleagues are celebrating_
_Our partners are joyous_
_Our secondary school mates are happy_
_Why we are still stagnant in the same level_
LAUTECH shall rise
_Our parents are waiting patiently for our graduation_
_They are thirsty of our success_
_They are anticipating to reap the fruit of their labour_
LAUTECH shall rise
_Time keep running_
_The days keep fading_
_The months keep rising_
_The years keep soaring_
_While our career still remain the same_
LAUTECH shall rise
_The visitors show no passion_
_Since their nippers are not affected_
_They wore the garment of no concern_
_While the future of over 30,000 students is at stake_
LAUTECH shall rise
_The riches keep fluting with their wealth_
_The kings keep quite while there citizens has been deprived of their right_
_While the hapless student’s future is doom_
LAUTECH shall rise
_At the end of the tunnel_
_Our hope would become happiness_
_Our dreams shall come to reality_
_We shall rejoice_
