Bayo Lawal, Odetomi Takes Campaign To Over 500 Villages In Orire Local Government

The senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress ( ADC ), Chief Barrister Bayo Lawal has stormed Ogbomoso in grand tour to canvass for votes ahead of the general election. Bayo Lawal is currently leading campaign to over 500 villages in Orire local government. 

The joint campaign team has the House of representative candidate, Hon. Peter Odetomi and the party state house of assembly candidate for Ogbomoso South, Hon. Akinloye Akande, Paul Alagbe for Ogbomoso North and Hon. Jokotola Olalere for Orire local government. 

A media assistant to Barrister Bayo Lawal, Oyedeji Ahmed told MouthpieceNG that the people in Orire local government are ready to support all the ADC party candidates. 

He added that the people’s love for the party in the local government is overwhelming and unimaginable. The people are desperate for positive change, they are showing commitment and pledging their full support for ADC.

“In some villages, some people bitterly lamented how the present government have abandoned them. They also expressed their grievances how the likes of Akala and Mulikat have been deceiving them over the years. 

A woman who simply identified herself as Olanike said, “We’ve been in darkness for over 20years. Politicians only come to us during election to rob us. We are like a fool to them. 

“We’ve not benefited anything from PDP and the present government led by APC. We are tired of their lies. 

A man who also expressed his bothered heart over the negligence of those at the helms of affairs said, “Hon. Olagunju Ojo who hale from here and currently the speaker of the state house of assembly, has no meaningful impact in Orire local government. 

“In fact, during 2002 when he was the deputy speaker, he promised us just N5000 for ITEWURE day while he was the deputy speaker, he’s yet to fulfill it till now. It was Peter Odetomi that later gave us the money in double, “he lamented. 

Barrister Bayo Lawal while speaking, expressed his deep concern about the poor state of the local government despite being the 2nd largest land marks in Oyo state. He promised to run a people’s government.

“I’ve been adopted by the entire people of Oke- Ogun. The 10 traditional rulers, artisans and the Okeogun development consultative forum ( ODCF) have also adopted Bayo Lawal as their sole candidate for Oyo North senatorial district, “he said.
