GOVERNORSHIP: Dr Okunlola Unveils Blue-Print

The gubernatorial Candidate of the All Grassroots Alliance (AGA) in Oyo state has unveiled the summary of his manifestoes.

In his Six Cardinal Points which are Education, Agriculture, Economy, Security, Health, Infrastructure ( Road, Water, Electricity), Dr Okunlola further added that LAUTECH shall occupy her enviable position among other Universities in and outside Nigeria because:
1. Never again shall the issue of SUBVENTION raise its ugly head, let alone closing the institution for the reason of poor funding.
2. Welfare of staff and students of Tertiary Institutions (LAUTECH  first)  shall be paramount to our government.
3. Our government shall embark on physical/structural development to enhance Teaching and Research in all Tertiary Institutions in the state (No doubt,  LAUTECH will be the pilot institution for such development)
4. Full discipline amongst students and adequate security on life and property on campus shall be reinstated to pave way for quality teaching and research programs.
5. We all know that overpopulation of intake by LAUTECH is a means of generating IGR to sustain the University, consequently, health status of The University Staff, especially Academics bcm a serious concern. Our government shall tackle this headlong through provision of necessary support and further ensure NUC recommended quota to the University.
In other words, increase in quota of intakes shall be a function of expansion of facilities and staff recruitment in the University.
“My words shall remain my bond if elected as the next governor of Oyo State.
“Let us all remember always that whoever refuses to plough by the reason of cold shall continually beg in harvest.
It should be recalled that Dr Okunlola David has recently been endorsed by the Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum ( ODCF ) has its preferred governorship candidate for the coming election.
ODCF is an umbrella of all the 10 local governments in Oke-Ogun. The people are determined to make their son become the next governor of the state.
