The SOLANCO Director of Public Communication, New media and Tertiary institutions has frowned at the statement of APC gubernatorial candidate, Chief Bayo Adelabu of which he described Beere Area as unfit for human living.
The APC gubernatorial candidate had earlier on splash fm radio program, described the state of people living in Beere as Animalistic, and suggested that if given the opportunity to become the Oyo state governor, residence of Beere and other interior areas in Ibadan may have to be relocated to pave way for modern development of the area.
According to Engineer Akeem Olatunji, this proposal from Chief Bayo Adelabu is frightening and a clear indication that the ancestral home of many of Ibadan families would be appropriated to elites while the historical family compound which supposed to be protected for the sake of generation yet unborn would be wiped out.
“This are the more reason why the electorates of Oyo state should have a rethink on who to succeed governor Abiola Ajimobi because the 8years of despotic regime of APC government has brought nothing but suffering and hardship to the good people of Oyo state.
Engineer Akeem Olatunji further reiterated that the statement made by Adelabu is degrading and a dehumanization of the patriotic citizens living in Beere and other interior areas of Ibadan.
“Senator Olufemi lanlehin quite appreciate the patience and maturity exhibited by Beere residence who have been pauperized by the bad economic policy of Ajimobi led APC government in Oyo state, this would come to an end as soon as African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Senator Olufemi Lanlehin takes over the reign of government come 2019, “he said.
He therefore advised the good people of Beere and other interior areas of Ibadan to go about their normal businesses without fear of accusation of their ancestral home by the government, they should exercise their civic right by voting Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as the governor of Oyo state and other ADC candidates in order to put an end to the obnoxious APC policy being championed by Adebayo Adelabu of APC.
