..Appeals For Iwagba, Katangua Bridge Reconstruction

A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ogbomoso North State Constituency, Hon. Bisi Oluranti Micheal, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for approving the payment of arrears for staff of the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital and increasing cleaners’ salaries from N15,000 to N80,000.

Bisi Oluranti, in a statement on Thursday, described the governor’s gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to workers’ welfare and the strengthening of the health sector in the state.

She noted that the approval would boost morale, improve service delivery and reaffirm the administration’s people-centred approach to governance.

The lawmaker, who also appealed to Governor Makinde to consider the reconstruction of the Iwagba and Katangua bridges in Ogbomoso North, stressed that the bridges are critical to socio-economic activities and the safety of residents.

According to her, the deplorable state of the bridges has continued to pose challenges to motorists and communities, and urgent intervention would ease movement and enhance development in the area.

She, however, expressed confidence that the governor, known for his responsive leadership and infrastructural drive across Oyo State, would give the request favourable consideration.
