Agboworin Hosts APM House of Representatives Candidates in Oyo Ahead of 2027 Elections

The member representing Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has hosted candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, contesting House of Representatives seats in the 14 federal constituencies of Oyo State at his Felele residence in Ibadan.

The meeting, which brought together the party’s candidates, focused on strengthening unity, cooperation and strategic coordination ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Agboworin, who is seeking another term in the National Assembly on the platform of the APM, emphasized the importance of collective effort among the party’s candidates to achieve electoral success across the state.

Speaking at the gathering, Agboworin urged candidates to focus their campaigns on issues that directly affect the people, including infrastructure, economic opportunities, security, youth development, job creation, education and effective representation.

According to him, the 2027 election provides an opportunity for the APM to consolidate its presence in Oyo State and demonstrate that the party can offer credible alternatives to the electorate.

The meeting also provided an avenue for the candidates to exchange ideas, discuss the political situation in their respective constituencies and explore areas of cooperation that could strengthen the party’s chances at the polls.

The lawmaker, who is bidding for a third consecutive term in the House of Representatives, had earlier called on party members to remain united and committed ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that collective efforts would be necessary to secure victory for the party at different levels.
