Ogunlade charges residents to embrace cleanliness as key to a healthy community 

The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Ogunlade, has called on residents to take personal responsibility for maintaining a clean environment, stressing that cleanliness remains a vital tool in preventing outbreaks such as cholera.

The Chairman made this appeal in the early hours of today while addressing community members who had gathered for the ongoing environmental sensitzation exercise across the local government area. As the morning sun rose over Ogbomoso North, residents paused to listen as he delivered a message both timely and impactful.

Hon. George reminded the people that even the smallest acts of cleanliness contribute significantly to community well-being.

“Every little trash you pick up makes a big difference,” he said, emphasizing the connection between proper waste management and public health.

He further urged residents to collaborate with the local government in sustaining a hygienic environment, adding:

Let’s keep our surroundings clean. A clean environment strengthens our efforts to eradicate cholera and protects our families.

In support of the Chairman’s address, the Director of Environmental Health Services, San. Oyeyiola Bolaji A., praised him for his proactive leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people.
