Makinde’s aide, Deji Ola markets Oyo at world investment forum in Doha

Prince Adeyemo Adedeji Ola, Special Assistant to the Governor of Oyo State on Political Matters, has showcased investment opportunities in Oyo State at the ongoing World Investment Forum in Doha, Qatar.

The forum, organised by the United Nations, brings together world leaders, heads of government, ministers, CEOs and investors to explore investment opportunities, foster partnerships and promote sustainable economic development.

Established in 2008, the World Investment Forum has become a global platform for discussions on investment and development. This year’s theme, “Investing in the Future,” underscores the importance of strategic investments in driving sustainable development.

Speaking at the forum, Ola presented Oyo State’s potential under the theme “INVEST IN Ọ̀YỌ́,” highlighting opportunities across tourism, agribusiness, education, hospitality, solid minerals, healthcare, technology, real estate and food processing.

He said Oyo State offers promising prospects for investors, citing the conducive business environment fostered under Governor Seyi Makinde. He noted that the state’s economic potential, strategic advantages and commitment to an enabling environment make it an attractive destination for local and foreign investors.

Among the opportunities highlighted was the Iyake Suspended Lake in Ado-Awaye, a natural attraction widely described as one of only two suspended lakes in the world, making it a potential hub for tourism development.

Ola’s participation provided an opportunity to present Oyo State’s economic potential to an international audience and encourage partnerships that could drive growth.

He expressed profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for granting him the privilege of attending the event.
