Poly Student Loses Both Hands After Electrocution While Hoisting PDP Flag

A 100-level student of Taraba State Polytechnic, Iorhee Saanmoyol Paul, had both his hands amputated after being electrocuted while hoisting a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, flag.

The incident occurred in Jalingo, the state capital, on May 21, 2025, near the polytechnic gate along Roadblock to ATC Road.

The metal handle of the flagpole accidentally came into contact with a high tension electric wire, causing a severe electric shock.
