The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has charged young leaders to challenge existing norms in governance, politics, and entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the Limitless Leadership Eversion Programme held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin delivered an inspiring address, drawing from his personal leadership journey and the obstacles he overcame to emerge as one of Nigeria’s most influential young politicians.
He urged Nigerian youths to push boundaries in their pursuit of excellence.
“Leadership is not just about following patterns; it is about creating new pathways. I urge every young leader here today to challenge the status quo, push beyond limitations, and redefine leadership in their respective fields,” he stated.
The Speaker, who made history as the youngest lawmaker and Speaker in Oyo State, emphasized resilience, service, and visionary leadership as key traits needed to drive change.
He recalled his rise in politics, overcoming odds as a member of the opposition party to become Chairman of the Conference of Speakers, proving that leadership is not about age or political affiliation, but about competence and determination.
” I therefore wish to challenge our young leaders here to define and pursue their vision with purpose, embrace resilience in adversity, take calculated risks for growth, build meaningful connections, lead with integrity and serve with humility and impact others and mentor the next generation
