Oyo Assembly Majority Leader Felicitates Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir

Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration. 

The lawmaker, who described Eid el Kabir festival as very significant in Islamic calendar, enjoined Muslims to emulate the Prophet Ibrahim, who demonstrated complete loyalty and trust in his relationship with Allah.

Adedoyin, in a statement on Thursday, said that Eid-el-Kabir serves as a reminder of the purpose of life, the importance of accountability, and the inevitability of reckoning. 

He acknowledged the values of selflessness, kindness, and devotion that are at the heart of Eid el Kabir and pray that this special period will bring us all peace, happiness, and unity.

The lawmaker, representing Ogbomoso South state constituency, however wished his constituents a joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration and prayed for peace, prosperity, and progress in Oyo State.

His words: “As we celebrate this significant festival, I urge all Muslims in Oyo State to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering devotion to Allah’s will, exemplified by his willingness to sacrifice his only son. The values of selflessness, kindness, and devotion that define Eid-el-Kabir are a powerful reminder of the importance of peace, happiness, and unity.

“I extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo State and across Nigeria, wishing them a joyous celebration filled with love, joy, and peace. 

“I also call on all residents of Oyo State to embody the spirit of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence that Eid-el-Kabir promotes, fostering love and understanding among individuals from diverse backgrounds.

“May Almighty Allah accept the sacrifices and prayers of Muslims as a genuine act of worship.”
