Join APC Or We Demolish Your House, Okpebholo Accused Of Blackmail

The member representing Esan West, Esan Central, and Igueben Federal Constituency, Hon. Marcus Onobun has accused the Edo state government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State of targeting opposition in the state.

Onobun while appearing on Channels TV said that, the Edo state government led by Monday Okpebholo is using an anti-cultism law as a tool for political intimidation.

According to sources, some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been warned to join the APC or face severe consequences, including the demolition of their homes.

This assertion has raised concerns over the misuse of legal frameworks for political gain, prompting calls for an investigation. Onobun has condemned these actions, asserting that such tactics undermine democracy and threaten the safety of political opponents.

“This is a blatant attempt to intimidate and silence dissenting voices in our state,” he stated. The situation has sparked widespread outrage among PDP supporters, who are demanding accountability from the APC.
