The Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo State, Barr. Nurudeen Temilolu Seun Ashamu, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, calling for continued peace, love, and unity across the state.
In his message, Barr. Ashamu congratulated all Muslim faithful for witnessing yet another Eid celebration and urged them to imbibe the lessons of sacrifice, obedience, and faith as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), which the festival represents.
“This season reminds us of the power of faith, the importance of sacrifice, and the beauty of giving to others. As we celebrate, let us remain conscious of our responsibilities to our neighbours, our communities, and our state,” he said.
He further called on citizens of all faiths to use the occasion as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of unity and peaceful coexistence, stressing that meaningful development can only take place in a society anchored on peace and mutual respect.
Barr. Ashamu reaffirmed the commitment of the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration to inclusive development and religious harmony, urging residents of Oyo State to continue supporting the government in building a better and more united society.
