Eid-el-Kabir: Oke LEGACY felicitates with Muslims, urges tolerance and unity
As Muslims across the world mark Eid-el-Kabir, Hon. John Adisa-Oke LEGACY, Ph.D, Member, Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Ogbomoso and Oyo State at large, urging them to embrace the true essence of the celebration — sacrifice, tolerance, and companionship.
In a statement released on the eve of the festival by his Media Aide, Ahmed Adebowale, Dr. Oke congratulated the faithful on witnessing yet another Eid, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the season as a time to reflect on obedience to Allah, compassion for others, and peaceful coexistence.
“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the virtue of total submission to the will of Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). It is a moment to strengthen our bonds as a people and to support one another, regardless of religious or ethnic differences,” he said.
The Director of Best Legacy Group of Schools also called on Nigerians, particularly the people of Ogbomoso and Oyo State, to use the festive period to promote unity, peace, and mutual understanding, especially in a time where national cohesion is needed more than ever.
He prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and progress in Oyo State and Nigeria at large, while wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful and spiritually fulfilling Eid celebration.
“May this Eid bring us closer to our Creator and to one another. I wish all Muslims a safe, peaceful, and joyous celebration,” he added.
