Eid-al-Adha: Ogbomoso North LGA Chairman Donates Rams, Cash Gifts to Muslim Leaders
The Ogbomoso North Local Government Chairman, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has donated rams and cash gifts to Muslim leaders, youth, women leaders, and executive members across all wards.
This gesture aims to foster religious harmony and inclusive development in the community.
A statement made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Friday indicated that the symbolic donation was carried out as part of the Council’s commitment to supporting the spiritual and social well-being of all communities.
Ward Chairmen who are Muslims, along with their Secretaries, Youth Leaders, and Women Leaders, were beneficiaries of this act of benevolence, which reaffirms the administration’s dedication to grassroots empowerment.
“This is a season of sacrifice and unity. We celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters, and it is our duty as a government to ensure they feel the support of the local leadership, not just during festivities but always,” the Chairman stated.
In addition to the gifts, the Chairman extended warm Sallah greetings to all Muslims in Ogbomoso North and beyond, wishing them a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir. He emphasised the importance of communal love, peaceful coexistence, and spiritual reflection during this sacred period.
The Council also seized the opportunity to commend the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to religious inclusivity and for being a unifying leader whose governance continues to bridge ethnic and religious divides across the state.
“Governor Seyi Makinde remains a beacon of hope and unity. His inclusive leadership style inspires us at the local level to build communities that thrive on mutual respect, shared values, and development for all.”
This year’s Ileya outreach reflects the values of community, compassion, and collaboration — a true mark of responsible leadership in service of the people.
As preparations for Eid progress, the local government urges all residents to celebrate in peace, uphold the spirit of sacrifice, and continue contributing to the progress of Ogbomoso and Oyo State at large.
