Democracy Day: Let’s continue to hope for a better country, a new Nigeria is possible – Agboworin
As Nigeria marks another Democracy Day, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin) has expressed optimism that prosperity shall soon overcome poverty in the country, saying a new Nigeria is possible.
In a statement signed by his Media Group, Agboworin acknowledged the challenges facing Nigeria, including poverty, unemployment, insecurity, human rights abuse, and inequality.
However, he urged citizens not to lose hope for a better tomorrow, emphasizing that collective efforts can help overcome these challenges and achieve sustainable economic growth and development.
Agboworin, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotics Drugs, called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and keep faith with democracy, while also urging the government to prioritize policies that promote economic growth, job creation, and social justice.
While emphasizing the need for the government to create an enabling environment that encourages investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship, He was also stressed the importance of investing in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, as well as supporting small businesses and empowering youths.
“We need to work together to build a Nigeria that is prosperous, just, and equitable for all.
“Let us work together to build a Nigeria where prosperity overcomes poverty; where every citizen has access to opportunities, and where our democracy becomes a beacon of hope for generations to come.”
