Bandits Kill 30 People In Kebbi State

Terrorist attacks in Tadurga and Kyebu communities of Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria have claimed 30 lives with many others injured.

Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Umar Abubakar Tafida, who led government delegation on condolence visits to the affected communities made a donation of N50 million to bereaved families and the injured, with each community receiving N25 million.

The State Government has pledged it would enhance security efforts to block entry points at Tadurga and Kyebu through which the bandits were able to have access to the area.

Chairman of Zuru LGA, Muhammad isah confirmed that 16 people were killed in Tadurga while Chairman of Danko Wasagu LGA, Hussaini Bena said 14 persons lost their lives in Kyebu and Yar-kuka in Waje District, with several others injured. They also stated that the bandits made away with cattle and other properties.

The Chief of Dabai, Suleman Sami Dabai, commended the State Government for its measures, attributing successes to support.

The village heads of Tadurga and Kyebu, Abdullahi Usman and Usman Muhammad Dunga, respectively praised the State Government’s efforts towards curbing insecurity and appealed for enhanced measures to block bandits entry points into their communities.
