28-Yr-Old Final Year Student Commits Suicide In Ondo
A 28-year-old final year student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), identified as Precious Arobo, has reportedly died by suicide in Ondo State.
Arobo, a Higher National Diploma (HND) II student, was found lifeless in a bush near his residence, in what sources described as a deeply distressing incident.
Local residents discovered his body and reported that a suicide note was found at the scene.
Sources disclosed that before his death, Precious posted a video on social media suggesting emotional distress linked to a failed romantic relationship.
The video, which has since gone viral, featured a sorrowful caption: “Eniayewu Opeyemi was the one who got me into this. People say there is still life out there, but to me, there is nothing anymore.”
A source close to the family, speaking under anonymity, confirmed that Precious had already been buried. “His parents are devastated by the loss. Precious was truly a good person,” the source said.
The tragic incident has cast a shadow over the polytechnic campus, with students expressing shock and heartbreak over the sudden loss of their colleague.
Many described him as quiet and easy-going, making the news of his death even more difficult to comprehend.
As of the time of this report, the school management has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
