Teacher killed, children abducted as terrorists invade Zamfara secondary school

Some terrorists have invaded the Government Secondary School Tsafe, Zamfara state, killed a teacher and abducted several children.

It was gathered that the terrorists who were heavily armed invaded the school premises on Saturday and abducted the children.

While the number of children abducted remains unclear, Amnesty International, a human rights organisation, has condemned the actions of the armed terrorists.

In a post made on X on Sunday, AI said the terrorists invaded the school on Saturday in an attack that lasted through the night.

The international organisation described the incident as an indication of the failure of those in authority to protect the citizens.

It wrote on its X page, “Frequent attacks and abductions by bandits targeting schools have severely affected operations of schools and access to education across Zamfara state.

“Targeting schools is a serious violation of international humanitarian law, and it undermines the right to education,” AI said.
