SMATO Donates N5m During Inauguration of Oko Health Centre
Hon. Ojo Sunday Makanjuola (SMATO), Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Solid Minerals and Member representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, has demonstrated his commitment to people-first leadership by donating N5 million for infrastructure development at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Comprehensive Health Centre in Oko community.
The donation was made during the formal inauguration program of the health centre, built by the Maigida Charity Foundation.
The program was attended by several dignitaries, including His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Olagoke Adisa Akinola Oyeyode III, the Oranmiyan of Oko land.
The health centre, a philanthropic project, had been built years ago but remained non-functional due to lack of power supply.

The community has continued to express gratitude to SMATO for his kindness, saying that his intervention has transformed the health centre into a beacon of healthcare excellence.
The solar power installation has not only enabled the health centre to function but also has extended light and security to neighbouring households.
SMATO’s donation is part of his broader vision of sustainable rural development, equity in public service, and efficient use of renewable energy to solve age-long challenges in underserved communities.
His leadership style is characterized by listening, acting, and delivering, making him a reliable and impactful leader.
