Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho Road Project Enhancing Agricultural Productivity, Economic Growth— Open Salawu
The Chairman of the Oyo State Projects Performance Monitoring Agency, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, has highlighted the state government’s efforts to boost agricultural productivity and economic growth through infrastructure development, particularly the Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho road rehabilitation project.
During an inspection tour of roads in the Oke-Ogun zone on Thursday, Salawu emphasized that the project is a key initiative aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and fostering economic growth.
He praised Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde’s commitment to developing all zones of the state and highlighted the administration’s focus on agriculture as a driver of economic revival.
Salawu noted that good roads are crucial for driving economic growth, improving safety, enhancing connectivity, and boosting productivity.
He assured that the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency (OYSPPMA) is committed to ensuring that the people of Oyo State receive value for their money through effective infrastructure development.
The inspection team was warmly received by the Okere of Sakiland, HRM Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Oyedepo III, who expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde and the state government for their dedication to infrastructure development, particularly in supporting the agricultural sector.
The monarch noted that the road project will enhance the transportation of farm produce to urban areas, benefiting major communities in Oke-Ogun.
His words: “Today May 1st, our team inspected the road project, departing Ibadan at 7:30 am and stopping at the palace of HRM Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Oyedepo III, the Okere of Sakiland. The monarch warmly welcomed us and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Engr Seyi Makinde and the Oyo State government for their dedication to infrastructure development, particularly in supporting the agricultural sector.
