Oyo progressing in all sectors under your leadership — OYSROMA boss, Ogunlade salutes Gov. Makinde
The Chairman of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency, Hon. Busoye Ogunlade has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State and Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, on the occasion of his sixth year anniversary in office.
He noted that the pacesetter state under his leadership has continued to witnessed unprecedented development in all critical sectors.
In a statement released on Thursday, Busoye praised Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership, dedication to good governance, and unwavering commitment to Oyo State’s development.
He emphasised that Oyo State has seen significant advancements in a number of vital areas, such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment.
According to the OYSROMA boss, Governor Makinde’s unwavering dedication to openness, accountability, and inclusive development has not only won him the trust of the people but also established Oyo State as a model of good governance in Nigeria.
He described him as a unifying figure whose inclusive leadership style has earned him respect and admiration throughout the country.
The statement reads: “Your Excellency, I join the good people of Oyo State and well-meaning Nigerians in celebrating your six remarkable years of selfless service, purposeful leadership, and transformative governance. Your leadership has undoubtedly changed the narrative of governance in Oyo State.
“Among your laudable accomplishments was the completion of over 335 kilometers of roads, with an additional 273 kilometers under construction, enhancing connectivity and boosting economic activities.
“Equally, on social welfare, you deserve a compensation on the regular payment of workers’ salaries, including a 13th-month salary for five consecutive years, and increased monthly allocation for gratuities, easing the burden on retirees.
“You have also strengthened the security architecture of the state with the establishment and expansion of the Oyo Amotekun Corps, strengthening community-based security and contributing to a safer environment.
“Likewise in education, over 19,500 primary and secondary school teachers (90% merit-based) were employed, and sole ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), ensuring better management and development is commendable.
“However, in healthcare, you deserve appraisal for the Renovation and equipment of numerous Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), recruitment of essential healthcare staff, and establishment of oxygen plants in key hospitals.
As you mark this important milestone, may your tenure continue to usher in greater peace, prosperity, and progress for our dear state and the nation at large. I pray that God grants you more wisdom, strength, and grace to continue serving with distinction.”
