Makinde’s administration a beacon of hope for Muslim community— Sheikh Atere
The Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muslim Wing, Sheik Atere, has praised Governor Seyi Makinde’s six years in office, highlighting his administration’s support for religious activities in the state.
In a statement on Thursday, Sheik Atere described Governor Makinde’s administration as “a beacon of hope for the Muslim community in Oyo State.
He noted that his commitment to facilitating the pilgrimage process has made it easier for many to fulfill their religious obligations.
The chairman highlighted specific initiatives, saying, “The enhanced logistics and support for pilgrims this year reflect the Governor’s dedication to ensuring a seamless experience for all. We appreciate his efforts in providing necessary resources and guidance.”
Sheikh Atere, who also expressed gratitude for the Governor’s inclusive approach, noted that under Makinde’s leadership, all religious communities have felt valued and supported.
According to him, Governor Makinde policies promote unity and understanding among different faiths, which is essential for our state’s peace.”
