A Year in Office: Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS Set to Commission Seven Landmark Projects in Ona Ara LG
As part of activities marking his first year in office, the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, is set to commission seven completed projects across the local government area.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Chairman’s Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.
According to the statement, the projects scheduled for commissioning include five newly constructed bridges and box culverts, which were earlier announced and commenced just weeks ago. These infrastructure interventions are aimed at enhancing road connectivity and easing transportation challenges for residents across key communities.
Dr. GLORIOUS, in the release, reaffirmed his commitment to the development blueprint of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, describing him as a mentor and model for progressive governance. He assured that Ona Ara will continue to witness more people-focused and transformative projects under his leadership.
Notably, the Chairman is also set to fulfill a campaign promise made during a joint pre-election interview with a fellow contender from Gbada Efon village. Dr. GLORIOUS had pledged to provide a functional borehole for the community within his first year in office — a promise that has now been fulfilled and will be officially commissioned as part of the anniversary celebrations.
In addition, another community borehole project at Sawmill, Plank Market, Odeyale area is ready for use and will also be inaugurated.
The statement emphasized that these projects reflect the Chairman’s vision of inclusive governance, improved service delivery, and a better quality of life for the people of Ona Ara.
