A Rare Spiritual Gem: Open Salawu Congratulates Chief Imam Agbotomokekere

The Chairman of the Oyo State Projects Performance Monitoring Agency, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, has joined countless well-wishers in celebrating the birthday anniversary of the revered Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Grand Imam of Oyo State, and Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Ganiy Abubakry Agbotomokekere.

In a statement on Sunday, Salawu described the Chief Imam as a rare spiritual gem whose wisdom, humility, and fatherly disposition continue to inspire generations of youths across Yorubaland and beyond. He commended the Chief Imam’s patriotism and commitment to the development of Oyo State, saying:

“Today, I celebrate our beloved father, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Ganiy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, as he marks this milestone birthday. Baba has been an exemplary religious leader, with a great sense of patriotism and dedication to the growth of Oyo State.

“He remains a guiding light for the youth, offering his knowledge, counsel, and support as they navigate their journey toward leadership and righteousness.

“I celebrate his impactful life, which has left an indelible mark on Islam, Ibadanland, and Oyo State. I pray that Allah continues to grant him good health, long life, and spiritual strength. 

“I urge other religious leaders to emulate the Chief Imam’s accommodating nature and commitment to youth development and peaceful coexistence.”
