Smato greets Christians on Easter, urges prayer for Oyo, Nigeria

Lawmaker representing Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Hon. Ojo  Sunday Makanjuola (SMATO), has extended his warmest greetings and best wishes to Nigerian Christians on the occasion of Easter celebration, calling on them to reflect deeply on the true meaning of the celebration as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

The lawmaker reminded the public in his Easter message, which was made public on Sunday, that the season serves as a reminder of Christ’s supreme sacrifice and resurrection, which stand for redemption, hope, and rebirth.

He called on Christians to reaffirm their commitment to principles that promote peace, harmony, and advancement and to utilise this holy time to pray diligently for Oyo state and Nigeria at large.

Smato asserts that we must not abandon the Nigeria mission, just as Jesus triumphed over death and brought forth salvation.

He underlined that Nigerians must maintain their faith in the country’s future and band together to create a more powerful and affluent country in spite of the present economic and social difficulties it faces.

The lawmaker however urged political, religious, and community leaders to demonstrate compassion, empathy, justice, humility, and selflessness, particularly during times of hardship.

He wished Christians a peaceful and joyful Easter, encouraging them to embody the season’s spirit by sharing love and kindness.
