Relief as Ogbomoso North Chairman Launches Drainage Project

Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, the Executive Chairman of Ogbomosho North Local Government, has kicked off a drainage project to mitigate flooding in the area. 

This initiative follows last year’s devastating floods that invaded homes, causing significant damage and disrupting lives.

The drainage diversion project begins at Akonwojo, proceeding to Aduin, and will progressively cover affected areas such as Isale Ora, Baki, Ogbegun, Sawmill, and more. 

The chairman expressed his commitment to bringing relief and ensuring the community is better protected this year.

Following the development, the community of Akowonjo has continued to praise Chairman Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade for his dedication to fulfilling his promises. 

Residents have equally expressed their appreciation for his efforts in addressing the flooding issue, which has been a longstanding concern.

Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade stated, “Last year’s rainfall brought immense heartbreak as floods invaded homes, causing significant damage to our community. Thankfully, God has provided a solution. We’re mobilizing our excavator to direct the drainage flow.” He assured the community that the project would bring relief and protection.”

Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade is known for his dedication, focus, and commitment to his community. 

He was also congratulated by Alaaje on his emergence as Executive Chairman of Ogbomosho North Local Government, praising his courage and hard work.
