Ogbomosho North PDP Gets Boost as Labour Party Leaders Switch Allegiance

A significant boost was given to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbomosho North Local Government Area of Oyo State last Friday, with the defection of key Labour Party leaders. 

The defectors include the Labour Party Chairman, Youth Leader, Women Leader, Local Executives, and seven councilorship candidates.

The defection was facilitated by Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, Chairman of Ogbomosho North Local Government, who assured the newcomers of a warm welcome and integration into the PDP family. 

PDP Chairman, Alh. Hamzat Ibrahim, expressed delight at the defection, welcoming the Labour Party leaders into the PDP fold.

The Labour Party Chairman praised Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership and Hon. Ogunlade’s commitment to shaping Ogbomosho’s future. 

Hon. Ogunlade, in turn, commended Governor Makinde’s exemplary leadership, which has transformed Oyo State into a beacon of progress and development.

The massive defection is seen as a significant endorsement of the PDP’s leadership and policies in Ogbomosho North, and its impact on the local government’s political landscape is eagerly anticipated.
