Adedoyin Hails Saheed Ahmed’s Global Vet Award, Praises Makinde’s Educational Reforms

The Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has congratulated Mr. Ahmed Saheed Olaide on his outstanding achievement, describing him as a dedicated and serious student who has elevated Nigeria’s profile internationally.

In a congratulatory message on Tuesday, Adedoyin expressed immense pride in Mr. Ahmed for winning the prestigious World Veterinary Association Global Veterinary Award of 2025, which has brought recognition to Ogbomoso South, Oyo State, and Nigeria.

The lawmaker praised Ahmed’s reliability, focus, and potential to raise the standards of veterinary practice globally.

He encouraged the Ogbomoso South born winner to continue representing Nigeria with intelligence and integrity on the global stage.

Adedoyin, representing Ogbomoso South State Constituency, also commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his educational reforms, which have provided a solid foundation for youths and students in Oyo State.

While congratulating Ahmed, Adedoyin called on Governor Makinde and President Bola Tinubu to provide more support and recognition to exceptional students like Mr. Ahmed.

He emphasized that motivating talented youths will inspire them to promote Nigeria’s image positively worldwide.

The lawmaker however urged other students in Ogbomoso South to take their education seriously, noting that there are no limits to their potential achievements.

According to an email from Mrs. Magda Lourenço, the Executive Manager of the World Veterinary Association, Mr Ahmed was named the Veterinary Student of the Year 2025.

His winnings include a cash prize among other valuable gifts. Mr. Ahmed is expected to travel to Washington, D.C., USA, to attend the WVAC 2025/AMA Convention, where he will officially receive the award.
