Tinubu approves N147.8bn for completion of Oyo-Ogbomoso road
President Bola Tinubu has approved the completion of the dualisation of the Oyo-Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State, a long-delayed project crucial for regional connectivity.
Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, announced this on Monday after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House, Abuja.
He stated that the project, valued at N147,887,810,833.87, will be executed by Messrs JRB Construction Co. Ltd.
The approval aligns with the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and easing transportation challenges.
President Tinubu emphasized the strategic importance of the road, particularly its role in the Ibadan-Ilorin corridor, which remains incomplete.
The road serves as a key route for haulage trucks transporting goods and agricultural products from the North to Lagos.
Its completion is expected to alleviate difficulties faced by road users, including students and businesses.
