Ramadan: Wife of Oyo Deputy Gov, Ajibola Lawal hosts FOMWAN to special prayer

The Wife of Oyo Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Ajibike Lawal, on Friday, hosted the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), Oyo State Chapter in Ibadan to a special prayer.
It has been an annual event that during the month of Ramadan, Muslim women in the state under the auspices of Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) organizes special prayer.
The Islamic group, about 40 in numbers, began the prayers with Azkar, and Quranic readings.
FOMWAN also provided a great reminder of the value of prayer, especially in times of hardship or difficulty, referencing the life of Prophet Ayub, who was ill until he was able to call upon Allah for healing, as mentioned in the holy Quran.
However, the group commended the wife of Oyo Deputy Governor for hosting them and prayed that Allah would continue to provide Governor Makinde and his Deputy the strength they need to continue serving the people of Oyo state.
In her votes of thanks, the wife of the Deputy Governor expressed gratitude to FOMWAN for organizing the special prayer and praised them for their strives toward the cause of Allah.
Speaking through Alhaja Fausat Joke Sanni, the commissioner for Special Duties, Mrs. Lawal counseled parents to leave a positive legacy and to constantly pray for their children, emphasising that they are the future of tomorrow.
She prayed Allah accept the fasting and prayers as an act of Iba’adah.
The Wife of Oyo Deputy Governor however called for continuous prayer for the current administration in delivering the dividends of democracy.
The event highlights included distribution of Ramadan packages such as bag of rice, milk, bournvita, sugar, among others.
