Akpabio: I want to confess my sin, I’m one of those who put you in this problem— Kogi West Senator, Karimi
Senator Sunday Karimi has admitted his involvement in the ongoing issue between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, who has accused Akpabio of sexual harassment.
In a video shared by YOUTUBE, He expressed regret for playing a role in putting Akpabio in this difficult situation. Karimi mentioned that Akpabio was unsure about giving Akpoti a leadership position because he thought she was inexperienced.
To address the matter, Karimi reached out to other Senate leaders and, along with Senator Jubril, urged Akpabio to return a leadership role previously held by Senator Sadiku Ohere to Kogi State.
Hear him:
“Mr. Senate President (Godswill Akpabio), I want to confess my sins today because this is the holy month of Ramadan and also a time of fasting. I’m one of those who put you in this problem, and I’m very sorry.
When my sister, Natasha, came to the Senate, you were very reluctant to give her a leadership position. I recall your words, saying she’s a rookie and that there are people that came before her. You expressed, ‘Karimi, why would I give her the chairmanship position? I wouldn’t do that; my conscience wouldn’t allow me.’ I then went to other leaders to put pressure on you. Finally, Senator Jubril and I approached you, stating that the position Senator Sadiku Ohere left is for Kogi State, and you must give it back to Kogi State.”
