Qur’anic Recitation is Progressing and Must Be Supported – Olayiwola at Oyo State Qur’an Recitation Competition Hosted in Kishi

The Annual National Qur’an Recitation Competition, Oyo State Chapter, held in Old Irepo, Kishi, witnessed the active participation of Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola, the Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, who emphasized the progress in Qur’anic recitation and the need for continued support to sustain its growth.

The event, hosted at the Novelty Polytechnics Multipurpose Hall, was marked by Hon. Olayiwola’s significant contributions, including substantial donations and the grading of roads leading to the venue. The State Coordinator praised his efforts and appealed for more government support to motivate participants and enhance their performance at the national level.

In his remarks, the Iba of Kishi urged Muslim scholars to reflect Islamic teachings in their daily lives, stressing the importance of leading by example.

Hon. Olayiwola expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to participate in the program. He extended his appreciation to Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde; the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Barr. Bayo Lawal; and the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu Adelabu, for their unwavering support.

The Chairman commended the organizers and prayed for the participants’ success and growth in knowledge. He noted the significant improvement in Qur’anic recitation over time and pledged his continued support, urging the organizers to consider hosting the next competition in Kishi.

The event highlighted the Chairman’s dedication to promoting Islamic education and community development.
