Oyo Deputy Gov, wife attend Bayo Lawal wife’s funeral in Lagos

The Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal alongside his wife, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal, on Friday, attended the funeral mass conducted for late Hon. Justice Pastor Beatrice Adesuwa Oke-Lawal, wife of Chief Bayo Lawal, the Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties to Governor Seyi Makinde.

The funeral mass held in Lagos had in attendance Oyo government functionaries including the Speaker of House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin.

Also in attendance were leaders and members of Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo state, friends and family members.

Beatrice died in October and was buried in Lagos on Friday, shortly after the funeral mass.

In his condolence message, the Deputy Governor described Beatrice’s death as a sad loss.

He urged the husband, children and other family members to take heart.

“The retired jurist’s passing was unexpected. She was a supportive woman.

“May God accept the soul of the deceased ex-jurist and grant her husband and other family members the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”
