We Are Committed to Improving Infrastructure for Our People – Olayiwola Declares as Road Grading Begins Across The 10 Wards in Irepo
The Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola, has fulfilled his promise by commencing the grading of roads in Irepo Local Government. The project began on Friday, November 15, under the supervision of the Supervisory Councillor for Works, Hon. Lawal Hakeem, and the Ward 08 Councillor, Hon. Raheem Kabeer Awodi.
During the road rehabilitation, which is ongoing in Oke Ola Iba II, Ward 08, Hon. Olayiwola emphasized his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure within the local government. The project aims to ensure that previously abandoned roads become motorable, easing the movement of residents and improving access to homes and businesses.
Speaking about the project, Hon. Olayiwola stated, “We are committed to improving infrastructure for our people, ensuring that our roads are accessible and beneficial to everyone. This is just the beginning of our resolve to deliver on our promises.”
The Chairman reiterated his gratitude to the Oyo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Barr. Abdulraheem Bayo Lawal, for their approval and support in ensuring these roads are rehabilitated for the benefit of the people. He also encouraged community members to support the sustainability of the roads by avoiding actions that could damage them, such as improper waste disposal, and by promptly reporting any issues requiring attention to the appropriate authorities.
This effort aligns with Hon. Olayiwola’s 100-day promise to prioritize infrastructural development and improve the quality of life for residents of Irepo Local Government.
