Oke LAGACY commends Gov. Makinde’s commitment to education with new teacher appointments

In a move at addressing the shortage of teachers in Oyo State, Hon. John Adisa-Oke has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the recent approval of new teacher appointments under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).

Speaking with Mouthpiece NGR, Adisa-Oke described the initiative as a monumental step towards revitalizing the education sector in the state. He emphasized that the Governor’s decision underscores his unwavering commitment to improving education quality across Oyo State.

“This is not just about appointments; it’s about keeping promises. Governor Makinde has shown once again that he prioritizes the future of our children by taking deliberate steps to strengthen the education sector,” Adisa-Oke said.

Highlighting the inclusivity of the recruitment process, Adisa-Oke lauded the Governor for creating opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds without any form of discriminations.

“This is the second time that ordinary citizens—sons and daughters of nobody—have secured government jobs purely on merit. If the federal government adopts such a transparent model, unemployment rates across the country would drop significantly,” he added.

Hon. Adisa-Oke hailed Governor Makinde’s education reforms as a model for other states to emulate, reiterating that the recent appointments mark a significant stride toward ensuring a brighter future for Oyo State’s students.
