Oyo holds 2024 Yemoja Ibadan Festival Day as Chairman Bisi Oluranti committed to promoting state culture and tourism

The Yemoja Festival, which spans 17 days, will feature a variety of activities, including traditional rites, cultural performances, and community gatherings.

This was disclosed to newsmen on Sunday by the chairman, House Committee on Culture and Tourism, Hon. (Mrs) Michael Olubisi Margaret. 

According to her, as we all known that Traditional festivals are indigenous festivals. It is made up of cultural and spiritual activities which the people have created and developed during the course of history. It is pass on from one generation to and generation.

“Today is the festival grand finale, you can’t afford to miss the activities for todays program. The program is slated to hold at Yemoja Temple, Ile Aperin. Popoyemoja Street, Gbodu. Ibadan. 

“As the chairman, House Committee on Culture and Tourism. I felicitate my able governor, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Eng. Seyi Makinde and the good people of Oyo State.

“I am using this medium to celebrate this festival with the YEMOJA’s family in Ibadan, Oyo State. My prayer is that this will not be the end and I promise that I will always be in support and find growth to Our Culture and Tourism so as to have more activities to promote our culture.”
