Excitement as SMATO Begins Construction of Six Class Rooms

Oyo House of Representatives member, representing Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Hon. Ojo Sunday Makanjuola SMATO has begun the construction of a block of six classrooms at Maya, Iresa ward in Surulere local government.

Smato, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Friendship Group to Pakistan, and Deputy Chairman House Committee of Solid Minerals, is committed to the development of education in his community.

At the groundbreaking ceremony held on the school grounds on Tuesday, the lawmaker, while performing the sod expressed his deep appreciation to the entire community for their support during the 2023 general elections.

He pledged to honour his other campaign commitments but pointed out that the building of the six classrooms is only the tip of the iceberg.

The lawmaker declared that his goal is to address the issue of the area’s lack of an environment that is suitable to successful teaching and learning.

He equally underlined that, in addition to his current achievements in education development, more initiatives of a similar nature would be undertaken throughout the federal constituency.

Speaking at the event, a PDP leader, however, praised SMATO for his visionary leadership and dedication to the federal constituency’s educational growth.

He also acknowledged his excellent representation and the several projects he has been helping to facilitate in the federal constituency.

The PDP chieftain commended the lawmaker for keeping his word and pointed out that the community and students would always be appreciative of the project, which they had been expecting for a long time.

He said: “SMATO is back to fulfil one of his promises to us, and we are very happy that we have somebody of a good character like him representing us. We are very proud of him.

“We pray that God will continue to be with the lawmaker to do better things for the people, and we are happy that he is making the party proud by facilitating the project.”

Residents of the Federal Constituency have continued to heaped praise Hon. Smato for his good representation and quality leadership in delivering the dividends of democracy.
