PHOTOS: Oyo Deputy Gov receives Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad for Olubadan coronation

The Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem  Adebayo Lawal, on Thursday, received the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III CFR and his entourage at the Alakia airport, Ibadan. 

The delegation, who were in town for the installation and coronation of the 43rd Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, arrived the airport exactly 3:30pm.

The Deputy Governor, who led the government delegation including the Personal assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde, Alhaji Akeem Azeez, was equally joined by the Executive Secretary of Muslim Ummah Southwest Nigeria (MUSWEN) Professor Musliu Tayo Yahya; Secretary Muslim Community of Oyo state, Alhaji Murisiq Bidemi Siyanbade; state coordinator of NACOMYO, Alhaji Daud Afolabi and MSSN PRO (Oyo Branch), Abdul Jeleel Abdul razaq. 

The sultan of Sokoto’s regular visit to Oyo state is an indication of the state government resolute in fostering a cordial relationship among religious adherents in the state.
