Irepo LG Chairman Launches Food Distribution Across Wards To Combat Hunger

As part of his efforts to combat hunger, the Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola on Thursday flagged off a distribution of foodstuffs across wards in the local government.

A statement made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR by the Council boss special assistant on media,  Salaudeen Abdul-muiz Tobi, indicated that the event aimed at alleviating hunger within the community, was held at the Irepo Local Government headquarter.

In his brief remarks, Hon. Olayiwola expressed gratitude to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE, and his deputy, Barr. Bayo Lawal, for their support in actualization of the initiative. 

He assured that the distribution of grains, including maize and gari, would be carried out efficiently to ensure that all beneficiaries receive their share.

Chief Popoola Job Olateju, the Atipa of Kishi Land, who represented the Iba of Kishi Land, also commended the state government and the chairman for their efforts. 

He offered prayers for continued guidance and success.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Irepo LG Vice Chairman, Hon. Sunday Olanipekun Oyewole, the HLA, representatives from the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), NULGE Chairman and other notable figures.
