PHOTOS: Afonja observes Eid prayers in Ogbomoso, urges residents to live life of sacrifice 

Oyo former commissioner for Works and Transport, Professor Abdulrahman Raphael Afonja (PARA), has extended his warmest felicitations to the Muslim community in the state and beyond on the occasion of the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

He particularly called on Muslims in Ogbomoso zone to live a life of sacrifice as done by Prophet Ibrahim in the Holy Quran.

Addressing newsmen after observing the Eid prayers at New Eid at Onipanu, said the Eid-el Kabir was all about sacrifice and that everyone should show commitment and support towards affecting their immediate environment positively.

He praised the resilience and dedication of Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, urging them to continue upholding the values of peace, love, and compassion.especially during this difficult time in the country. 

The Philanthropist equally called for unity and harmony among all Nigerians, regardless of religious beliefs, and prayed for peace and prosperity in the country.

Afonja’s greetings were echoed by other notable personalities and religious leaders, who joined in celebrating the joyous occasion.
