Eid-el-Adha: Agboworin greets muslims, tasks them to embrace spirit of sacrifice, service

As Muslims across the country celebrate the significant occasion of Eid al-Adha, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has joined in the festivities, extending warm greetings and felicitations to all.

This joyous occasion, marking the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ismail, serves as a powerful reminder of the values of faith, obedience and selflessness.

Agboworin, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on New Media, Aremu Ibraheem, and made available to journalists on Sunday, praised Muslims for their unwavering commitment to the core values, which form the foundation of a harmonious and prosperous society.

The lawmaker also acknowledged the significant contributions Muslims have made to Nigeria’s development, growth, peace and prosperity of Nigeria.

The statement read, “As we celebrate another Eid al-Adha, I want to call on all Nigerians to embrace the spirit of sacrifice and service, working together towards a brighter future for our nation.

“Equally, I like to encourage individuals to draw inspiration from Prophet Ibrahim’s remarkable story, making personal sacrifices for the betterment of our communities, society, constituency, state and country.

“It is my prayer that this celebration brings joy, peace, prosperity, and unity to all, and serves as a catalyst for positive change and growth in the years ahead.

“Happy Eid-Al-Aha!”
