Aare Musulumi donates 16 seater bus to CCII

In a generous display of philanthropy, the Aare of Musulumi, Alhaji Dawud Akinola, has donated a brand new 16-seater bus to the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII). This gesture is a testament to Alhaji Akinola’s commitment to giving back to the community and supporting worthy causes.

“The need for collaborative efforts for sustainable development of Ibadanland in her quest to reach the megapolis status has been stressed. This was the crux of the message delivered bythe Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States who doubles as theAare of Ibadanland Alhaji Dawud Akinola while presentating a brand new 16 seaters bus to the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes at his Agodi GRA residence in Ibadan”.

The donation which was in fulfilment of his promise he made, to donate a new bus to the CCII to assist the body in day to day administration, during his investiture as the first Grand Commander of Ibadan Culture, GCIC, recently bestowed on him as a mark of recognition for his unparalleled and unequalled philanthropy.

According to Aare Akinola, ” this is a token of my contribution to assist in the day to day administration of the council to further bring more development to the nooks and crannies of the city”. Aare Akinola who said the donation was just a tip of the iceberg, further promised that as long as God continues to bless him, he would be given back to Ibadanland, his land of birth.

He enjoins well to do citizens and friends of Ibadanland to contribute their quota to further hasten the development of the city adding that everyone residents must collaborate to lift ibadan to reach an enviable height. “Its our duty as residents to ensure that we join hands with the leadership of the CCII to accelerate the development of Ibadanland”

Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the President General Central Council of Ibadan Indegenes Alhaj Sulaiman Ajeniyi Ajewole, Mogaji Gafar Ojetola who is the Chairman Ibadan cultural week committee expressed the gratitude of the Mogajis, the chiefs, senior chiefs and high chiefs in ibadanland fir this uncommon donation.

Mogaji Ojetola who said that the donation couldn’t have come at a better time especially as the Council’s programs of Ibadan Cultural week, the palace commissioning and the coronation of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland was in top gear, said Ibadan would for a long time remember this good gesture of the Aare of Ibadanland.

“The headship of the Central Council of Ibadanland would for a long time to come remember this gift, not only because of the uniqueness but the timing, its effortlessness and the speed with which the donation was redeemed”.

According to the council, history was not only made, precedent was set for all well to do indegenes and friends of Ibadanland on timely redemption of donations adding that the council was highly honored with the gift. He however promised that the vehicle would not only be properly used for the programmes and projects of the council, but be properly maintained to make it durable.

Highlights of the occasion was the official presentation of the vehicle key and particulars to the representative of the President General of the CCII, Mogaji Ojetola by the Aare of Ibadanland Alhaj Dawud Akinola. Present at the occasion was Dr. Kola Hammed, the Chairman of the Aare Musulumi in council and council members and other executive members of the CCII.

Alhaji Akinola’s donation is a significant boost to the council’s activities, enabling them to transport members and guests to various events and programs. The bus will also facilitate the council’s outreach and community service initiatives, furthering their impact in the region.
