LAUTECH Students Crown Governor with Rare Lifetime Honour for Youth-Friendly Policies

The air of Ogbomoso was filled with the infectious sound of jubilation as students from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) gathered to honour Governor Seyi Makinde with an unprecedented recognition: Life Honorary Member of LAUTECH (LHML), bestowed upon him by an ecstatic student body.

The students’ unwavering affection for the governor, whom they affectionately referred to as “Koseleri,” or “never before seen,” was a true testament to Makinde’s exceptional leadership and impact on the state, particularly among the youth population.

The LHML accolade was the peak of an eventful day for the governor, as he officially commissioned the 76.67km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso road—a project that serves as a shining beacon of his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development.

With their cheers and praises, the students emphasized the importance of youth participation in the political process and commended Makinde for his youth-friendly policies, which have profoundly resonated with the younger generation.

In a captivating display of gratitude, the LAUTECH students unanimously said Governor Makinde has shown that politics can indeed be for the people.

They pointed out that Governor Makinde has demonstrated that a visionary leader can transform a community, an institution, and a state.

“Today, we confer on him the title of Life Honorary Member of LAUTECH, a testament to his dedication to education, youth empowerment, and good governance.”

“This momentous event, spurred by Makinde’s youth-focused policies and infrastructure development, has cemented his position as a trailblazing leader who resonates deeply with the younger generation.”

“His legacy will live on in the hearts of LAUTECH students,” they said.
